The Emmet County Clerk’s office will be mailing out jury questionnaires to 3,500 Emmet County residents. The law requires that the questionnaires be completed and returned within 10 days. Circuit Court Judge Jennifer E. Deegan reminds all citizens that it is your civic duty to participate in this process as our judicial system could not operate without you. By filling out the questionnaire, you will be placed into a pool of potential juror applicants for the coming year. Failure to timely complete and return the form could result in a Show Cause order.

Emmet County, Sponsor of the Pellston Regional Airport (PLN), is planning to file an application with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to impose and use a Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) to fund capital improvement projects.

This position is primarily responsible for directing and overseeing the 911 emergency telephone system and centralized emergency dispatch center. Responsible for dispatch of all police, fire, and ambulance services within Charlevoix, Cheboygan, and Emmet Counties. This position is responsible for managing all CCE Central Dispatch Authority programs and operations, as well as the technical, maintenance, personnel, and fiscal management activities of CCE Central Dispatch Authority.

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) will deliver $6,400,000 in federal funding to Emmet County to aid in economic recovery to ensure growth and equitable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Emmet County has received numerous requests for funding. With so many competing priorities, the county had previously sought input from the community on how best to utilize these funds. ARPA funds must be obligated by December 31, 2024, and expended by December 21, 2026.
