Staff members at the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office are participating in No-Shave November fund raiser, starting on November 7, 2018. Deputies participating will be donating funds to the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society. Sheriff Wallin wants the public not to be alarmed by deputies unshaven appearances. Although deputies are allowed to grow a beard, they are still required to maintain a grooming standard with their facial hair, keeping it clean and tidy. “I just want to alert the public in advance that they will be seeing unshaven Sheriff’s Office staff during the month of November,” Wallin said. “It is for a worthy cause, and I am happy that my staff wanted to use this fun opportunity to give back to the community and make a positive difference.”
