Emmet County Prosecuting Attorney James Linderman announced that on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, Defendant Caesar Joel Bonds-Carrera was sentenced in the 57th Circuit Court in Emmet County on the one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct-2nd Degree (Personal Injury), on the one count of Assault by Strangulation, and on the one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct-Third Degree (Force or Coercion) stemming from his no contest pleas on May 14, 2019.
Circuit Court Judge Charles W. Johnson sentenced Defendant Bonds-Carrera to 10 to 15 years on the one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct-2nd Degree (Personal Injury); 8 to 15 years on the one count of Assault by Strangulation; and 5 to 10 years on the one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct-Third Degree (Force or Coercion); all sentences to be served concurrently.
