Jakeway Verdict

Emmet County Prosecuting Attorney James Linderman announced that on Friday, June 28, 2019, Defendant Robert Dean Jakeway was found guilty at the conclusion of a three day jury trial of one count of Second Degree Arson, one count of Felony Firearm, and one count of Arson-Preparation to Burn a Dwelling for the January 13, 2019 structure fire at the Camden Kade Rental Units, at 7063 U.S. 31 North in Alanson, Michigan.

This case was handled by Assistant Prosecuting Attorney E. Michael McNamara and investigated by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office.

Defendant Jakeway is scheduled to be sentenced on August 6, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in the 57th Circuit Court for Emmet County.
