PELLSTON BRANCH LIBRARY HOSTING
“MICHIGAN’ S LEGENDARY LOGGING ERA” PROGRAM
SATURDAY EVENING, MAY 16
Step back in time and experience logging in Northern Michigan via photographs, maps and stories. Carl Bajema, Professor Emeritus of Biology at Grand Valley State University, will be our guide. Professor Bajema will draw on his experiences hiking and mapping most of the abandoned logging railroad grades in Emmet County with Charlie Conn, Bruce Gathman and Maurice Eby. Carl’s power point slide presentation will provide us with a window to view Michigan’s legendary pine and hardwood logging eras while taking a closer view of what happened in Emmet County.
Please RSVP and join us at the Library/Village Hall at 125 N. Milton in Pellston for the 7 pm program on Saturday, May 16.
