Emmet County EMS Station 1 at 1201 Eppler Road in Petoskey will be holding an open house on Thursday, June 14, 2018. The free event is an opportunity for the general public to tour the station and see behind the scenes. The new station opened last year.
Open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the event will feature a cookout, county-wide student art show, first responder exhibits and kids’ activities. Selected art show winners will have their works on display in the station throughout the year.
Emmet County EMS serves all of Emmet County and also has sub-stations in Mackinaw City and on M-119 near Pleasantview Road in Harbor Springs. The service operates eight ambulances 24/7/365 and makes over 4,900 runs each year.
