Emmet County Prosecuting Attorney James Linderman announced that on Friday, May 17, 2019, defendant Casey Stephen Turner was found guilty in the 57th Circuit Court in Emmet County on one count of Aggravated Stalking and one count of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime. Defendant Turner is also a Habitual Offender-Fourth Offense which raises the penalties for these crimes to potential life sentences and potential consecutive sentencing.
This case was handled by Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Michael H. Schuitema and investigated by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office.
Defendant Turner is scheduled to be sentenced on June 18, 2019, at 9 a.m. in the 57th Circuit Court for Emmet County.
